Use Vibration to Balance the Chakras
The chakras are believed to be the body's primary mediators of electromagnetic energy within the body. The chakras connect to the functions of the physical body primarily through the endocrine glands and the spinal system. It is believed that vibrations can be absorbed or projected through the chakras. The vibration can then be transmitted into the vertebrae of the spine, then transferred along nerve pathways and the circulatory system to the organs and tissues to which they are believed to be linked. Imbalance within the energy system of the chakras can manifest as physical symptoms of disease or dysfunction of one's spiritual, mental or emotional expression. It is believed that restoring balance to the chakra energy system can be accomplished through the use of vibration created by sound, color, fragrance, touch, crystals or flower elixirs. Following is a brief summary of ways to balance chakra energies:
The Base Chakra can be balanced using the tone of middle C, bass-toned and percussion instruments, the long U-vowel sound, the color red, smoky quartz crystal, sandalwood and wisteria fragrances.
The Spleen Chakra can be balanced using the tone of D above middle C, bass-toned, percussion, brass, and woodwind instruments, the long O-vowel sound, the color orange, carnelian or agate crystals, patchouli and gardenia fragrances.
The Solar Plexus Chakra can be balanced using the tone of E above middle C, flutes, woodwinds, strings, and piano instruments, the vowel sound of "awh", the color yellow, citrine and topaz crystals, rosemary fragrance.
The Heart Chakra can be balanced using the tone of F above middle C, harps, organs, flutes, wind chimes, and all string instruments, the long A-vowel sound, the colors green or pink, rose quartz or tourmaline crystals, rose fragrance.
The Throat Chakra can be balanced using the tone of G above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, and high string instruments, short vowels (e, i, a, u), the color blue, turquoise stone, bayberry or wisteria fragrances.
The Brow Chakra can be balanced using the tone of A above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, wind chimes, and high string instruments, the long-E vowel sound, the color indigo, Lapis lazuli or fluorite crystals, eucalyptus fragrance.
The Crown Chakra can be balanced using the tone of B above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, wind chimes, high string instruments, the long-E vowel sound, the color violet, amethyst crystal, frankincense or lilac fragrances.
