Crystal Animals for Good Fortune

The Chinese believe there are three kinds of luck: the luck you are born with, the luck you make for yourself, and the luck that comes to you from your environment.  Crystals can help you influence the luck you make for yourself and the luck that comes to you from your environment when placed in the home office or the money space of your home or office.  Many people also carry a mascot, or amulet to attract luck.  Following is a brief list of animals and the traits attributed to them:
  • Hare or rabbit has come to symbolize the overcoming of all odds and hence; represents success and good fortune.  Red and green serpentine, banded fluorite and bloodstone are ideal crystals.  If the object is small enough, carry it with you; otherwise, keep it in your workspace where you can handle it frequently and let the good luck "rub off" on you.
  • Frog or toad is a symbol of abundance and is often placed on a small pile of coins.  This should be placed in your money space to generate income.  Unakite fosters realism and a sense of perspective  along with a good-humored attitude toward work, making it a perfect talisman.
  • A bloodstone dragon pendant, bracelet or ring can easily be incorporated into your daily life.   The dragon is attributed with protection and all-round good luck.
  • A fish (preferably carp) symbolizes riches.
  • An elephant is attributed with boosting intelligence and bringing good fortune in exams.
  • A gourd symbolizes long life.
  • Fu dogs represent protection and help promote valor and prosperity.
  • A cicada is said to transform bad luck into good luck.
  • A horse is attributed with luck with lotteries.
Luck - good or bad - is always temporary.  Red and green serpentine (the more richly crazed with veins, the better) can act as a powerful talisman to help keep a sense of perspective.  Source: Crystal Energy For Your Home by Ken and Joules Taylor.
