Handwriting Word Spacing

Fluent writers leave a normal amount of space between words.  The spaces are neither too crowded nor too far apart and the size of the script is balanced with the space between the lines.  We can think of word spacing as related to the way we speak.  Close and irregular spacing would suggest a person who talks non-stop.  It might also suggest a lack of organization.  Most likely, this person has little or no respect for privacy and craves contact with people.  Close and irregular  spacing with narrow letters could reflect anxiety and feelings of inferiority.  Writers who use wide spacing tend to feel isolated, putting a barrier between the writer and others.  The writer may tend to exclude others and prevent himself from getting personally involved.  The distance between the words indicates the extent of this person's solitude.  If the handwriting exhibits good letter and word spacing but tangled, overlapping lines, the writer could have an ability to arrange immediate, everyday life activities but have an inability to plan too far ahead.  Source: Graphology Explained by Barry Branston.
