Here's a fun way to form a connection with your crystals.  In a space in your home that you can consider a play room, sit for a while with an assortment of crystals.  Close your eyes and handle each stone, see if you can tell them apart by touch.  Roll your chosen crystals in your hands and tune into any feelings they create.  Open your eyes and look at each crystal.  You might see a face or various shapes in stones that have a pattern such as jasper, malachite and lace agate.  Closely look at your transparent crystals such as quartz, amethyst and citrine.  These stones will often have flaws that create a beautiful rainbow when you turn the stone in the light.  Give your crystals names and make up stories about them, see if they speak to you.  You can do this exercise with your favorite music playing in the background, burn some incense or open a bottle of your favorite fragrance (this could be anything from mustard to perfume.)  Have a drink of something you have not tried before.  For instance, sparkling apple juice or perhaps a favorite drink you had as a child.  The main idea is to get in touch with having a playful relationship with your crystals and to open yourself up to the lighter side of life.  Source:  Crystal Energy For Your Home by Ken and Joules Taylor.
