Foods and Emotions
The five basic flavors in foods can be used to transform emotions and recalibrate the body. Foods can boost emotions as well as reduce overstimulated emotions. Here's a brief summary of the impact flavors have on the body and emotions:
Sour flavors enhance the liver and gallbladder, enhance the emotion of anger and reduce thought.
Bitter flavors enhance the heart and small intestine, enhance the emotion of joy and reduce sadness and worry.
Sweet flavors enhance the spleen and stomach, enhance thought and reduce fear and shock.
Pungent flavors enhance the lungs and large intestine, enhance the emotions of worry and sadness and reduce anger.
Salty flavors enhance the kidneys and bladder, enhance the emotions of fear and shock and reduce joy.
