Throat Chakra
If you think of the human body as an energy system, you can use various energy vibrations to interact with it. For instance, sounds, colors, aromas, and thoughts create frequencies our bodies respond to. Chakras are the primary mediators of all energy within the body and energy coming into it. They assist the body in distributing energy for our various physical, emotional, mental and spiritual functions. The chakras are connected to the functions of the physical body primarily through the endocrine glands and the spinal column. The word chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel" and it helps to think of chakra as a spinning vortex of energy. Energy imbalance within the body can manifest in physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual problems. The most effective means for restoring balance to the chakras is through vibrational remedies. Here are some main points to consider for the: Throat Chakra located at the 3rd cervical in the neck. The throat chakra is attributed with influencing the functions of the throat, the esophagus, the mouth and teeth, the thyroid and the parathyroid glands. It is also influential in the functions of the respiratory system and the functions of the bronchial, the vocal apparatus and alimentary canal. The throat chakra is tied to the functions of the right hemisphere of the brain and the creative functions of the mind. It can be stimulated to open one to clairaudience and to manifest greater abundance in life. The throat chakra can also be stimulated to survey the thoughts of others (telepathy) and it opens the consciousness to insight into the true laws of natural phenomena. A dysfunctional throat chakra can give rise to a constant surrendering to superiors, becoming trapped by fixed ideas, a clinging to tradition, a need for rules and supervision, becoming rigidly dogmatic, resisting change, melancholy, becoming fanatical, rigid and stubborn, authoritarian and slow to respond. The throat chakra can be balanced by the tone of G above middle C, harps, organs, pianos and high string instruments, short vowels (e, i, a, u), the color blue, turquoise stone, bayberry and wisteria fragrances.
