Brass has long been used as a magical substitute for gold.  The energy of brass is projective, it is associated with the planet sun and the element of fire.  Brass has an associated metal of gold and is attributed with powers for healing, money and protection.  Here's a simple ritual for attracting money using brass.
At sunrise, empower eight small brass bells and eight green candles with your need for money.
Do this in direct sunlight if possible.
Place the candles in holders in a square shape (two on each side).
Ring each of the bells over each candle and visualize money flowing freely to you.
As an alternative, you can place empowered olivine, aventurine or any other money-attracting stones on a piece of brass.
Here's another exercise to try:
Inscribe a pentagram on a small piece of brass using a sharp nail or engraving tool and carry or wear the brass piece to draw wealth to you.
Brass is also protective.  Brass jewelry is worn to guard the person and send negativity back to its sender.
Empowered brass objects are also placed in the home for protective purposes.
