Sending and Feeling Energy Patterns
Wherever your thoughts are focused so are your energy patterns. We experience a wide range of thoughts and emotions on a daily basis and those we experience on a repeated basis will affect our energy. The more sensitive we become to our energy fields, the more we can recognize and control what is allowed to affect them. Here is an exercise that will help you increase your sensitivity.
(1) Get in a comfortable seated position. Take a few minutes to relax. Your eyes can be either closed or open.
(2) Hold the palm of one hand upward.
(3) Point the index finger of your other hand into the palm of the other. The finger should be 3 to 6 inches away from the other hand.
(4) Take slow, deep breaths. As you breathe in and out, imagine the energy building and accumulating in the hand with the pointed index finger.
(5) After several minutes of this, slowly begin to rotate your index finger in a small circle.
(6) Visualize a stream of energy spiraling out from the index finger to create a circle of energy that touches the palm of the open hand. (Don't worry about whether you are imagining it or not, remember we are working to have energy follow our thoughts.)
(7) Pay attention to what you feel within the palm of the open hand. (You might feel a circle of warmth, a thickness, pressure or tingling.) It might help to close your eyes. The more you project and focus the energy with your mind, the stronger the sensation will become.
(8) Next repeat steps 3 through 7 on your naked forearm.
(9) Visualize and send the energy out through the index finger in spirals of energy. Pay attention to what you feel. With a bit of practice the intensity will increase.
As you repeat this exercise, you will train yourself to recognize those feelings which let you know when something is impacting upon your energy field.
You can add variations to this exercise:
Visualize colors streaming from your hands or fingers. Pay attention to those you experience more distinctly.
Place different fragrances on your hands and notice whether the experiences are intensified.
