Color Purple

Purple is the color of spiritual and mystical aspirations and is often used to portray a royal or regal status.  The presence of purple in our lives brings us closer to finding our divine purpose.  Purple is associated with the seventh (crown) chakra.  Purple stones are amethyst, alexandrite, diamond, selenite and sugalite.  Purple foods include beet and grape juice and is associated with fasting and prayer.  Purple's life energy is spirit and thought, it's scents are lotus and lavender.  Purple is associated with the musical note B and Archangel Metratron.  If you have a positive relationship with purple, most likely you are faithful to what you believe, are connected to the Spirit of Oneness, often instinctively know the right thing to do or say, have a sense of life's divine purpose, are able to live your life with Grace, have the Spirit of Love present in everything you experience, are capable of and usually exercise discipline and are a part of a supportive community.   If you are lacking in purple, you might experience a lack of discipline in routine habits such as diet, exercise, and work ethic, find social situations awkward, have a tendency to have your dedication wane quickly for causes, relationships or career path, are insensitive to social problems and issues, have trouble connecting with tribal or community groups and feel disconnected from a spiritual source.  To re balance your relationship with purple, you might consider: (1) select a simple exercise routine with two or three of your favorite exercises and commit to the routine for at least a month, paying attention to how you feel as you continue the routine.  (2) Find a social problem you know little about and spend some time researching it and notice how your attitude changes with the increased knowledge. (3) Attend a community meeting or ask to observe a support group meeting for an evening and notice how you feel during your time with the group. (4) Use crystals, minerals and stones to assist you while visualizing the color energy flowing smoothly through your auric field. (5) Add more purple into your environment.  If you have an excess of purple in your life, you might experience: frequent sense of confusion, have a tendency to be overly analytical, feel a sense of apathy toward the needs of others, have a tendency to over-analyze spirituality, be inclined to use your faith as a tool of righteousness in order to make others wrong, have a tendency to view situations as either black or white, with no room for compromise.  To re-balance your relationship with purple you might consider: (1) Develop a relationship with yellow, the color opposite purple on the color wheel. (2) Include more yellow in your environment. (3) Spend time alone in nature, just feeling the presence of the universal intelligence and the nature spirit in everything around you.  Mentally ground yourself into the earth and concentrate on the sensations of your physical body.  (4) Recite your first childhood prayers and recreate the feeling of youth as you pray.  Notice how you feel while you recite your prayers.  (5) Visit a homeless shelter and spend time serving a meal.  Source:  The Rainbow Guide to Color Energy by Cynthia C.
