Left or Right Communication

Humans tend to be right sided.  The comfort level for interaction is increased significantly when we have to turn, rotate or circulate to the right.  You can use this to your advantage in an office or group setting.  If you want to be noticed at a meeting, sit on the right side of the decision maker.  If you don't want to be given additional work, sit or stand to the left.  Objects and individuals on the right side of the room will be interfaced with more frequently and noticed than those on the left.  If the person with whom you are communicating has to turn to the right to listen to you, your input will be valued more than if the person has to turn to the left.  If the lure of conversing with you is too compelling for a neighbor you can deter his or her frequent dialogs by changing a desk's position so that you are sitting to their left.  Source:  Feng Shui Goes to the Office by Nancilee Wydra.
