Try Something New
Decide to bring a new experience into your life for the sheer enjoyment of novelty and breaking old habits. Your choice will depend upon your personal circumstances, the time you have available and your budget. However, the activity should be something completely novel to you. A craft or activity you've always wanted to try but never seemed to find time to do is a good place to start. If you want to challenge yourself a bit more, try something you really don't like the idea of doing. Although change can be frightening, without it you stagnate much like air or chi (energy) trapped in an airtight room. Refusing to make changes can have deleterious effects on your mental health. Even small changes are enough to keep you healthy. Consider your mind like a door - keep it open to let a fresh flow of ideas in and outflow of the old mode of thinking. To help you with this challenge, carry a small piece of tourmalinated quartz with you. The contrast of the black tourmaline embedded in the transparent quartz exemplifies how easily nature accommodates opposites. This might trigger ways for you to do the same in your life.
