Using Crystals for Assertiveness
When you find yourself in a position of having to stand firm for your beliefs, it helps to have enough self-confidence to face possible opposition or ridicule. Often it is easier to just become aggressive and confront someone or to take the opposite position of submissiveness and capitulate rather than to seek a more appropriate course of action. Professional assertiveness training can be a great help in this area and you can also supplement your efforts with crystals. Keep a large piece of polished sardonyx in the living room where you can see it frequently. It represents both a shield and your fighting spirit. Wear or carry a ruby (or its less expensive counterpart, the carnelian). Both stones have a long tradition as talismans promoting both courage and resilience in the face of hostility. You can also use a stone with a hole through it (this stone would be most beneficial if you found it during a walk.) It is often said these stones find you rather than you finding them! If you do find a stone with a hole in it, regard it as a very special sign of positive, balanced chi (energy) infusing you. Place it in a prominent place in the living or dining room where it may help to spread its influence throughout the house. A candle placed behind the stone may be lit to enhance its effect.
