Feng Shui and Your Personal Number
Personal numbers can give us additional insights into our energetic make-up and also enable us to use the information in our environment to improve our well-being and quality of life. Here's a formula to compute your personal number:
(1) We will consider all years as beginning on February 4th and ending on February 3rd. This means if you were born between January 1st and February 3rd, you will need to use the preceding year. For example if you were born January 20th, 1964 your year of birth will become 1963 for these calculations.
(2) Add up all the digits of the year you were born. For example 1956 would be calculated 1+9+5+6 = 21.
(3) If the resulting figure is more than 10, add the digits again until they reach a figure of nine or less. In this example you would add 2+1 = 3.
(4) Subtract the single digit figure from 11. In this example it would be 11-3 = 8.
(5) The answer will be your personal number.
(6) Use your personal number to locate your element of the bagua.
1 = water, North, Kan governs life path and career
2 = Big Earth, Southwest , Kun governs loving relationships
3 = Big Wood, East, Chen governs our roots and ancestors
4 = Small Wood, Southeast, Sun governs abundance, wealth and prosperity
5= Earth, Pivot and Balance
6 = Big Metal, Northwest, Chien governs guardian angels, helpful people and mentors
7 = Small Metal, West, Tui governs creativity and offspring
8 = Small Earth, Northeast, Ken governs deep wisdom, contemplation and education
9 = Fire, South, Li governs status, social standing and reputation
