Luck
The Chinese believe there are three kinds of luck, the kind you are born with, the luck you make for yourself, and the luck that comes to you from your environment. You can't do much about the first kind of luck, but you certainly can influence the other two. Crystals by themselves will not make you lucky, but a variety of crystal objects are traditionally placed in the money space to attract wealth and luck. Many people also carry some sort of mascot or amulet to attract good luck. Here are a few examples: The rabbit is a common charm and has come to symbolize the overcoming of all odds - and hence represents success and good fortune. Red and green serpentine, banded fluorite and bloodstone are ideal crystals for carved rabbit charms. If it is small enough, carry it with you. Otherwise, keep it in your workspace where you can handle it frequently so the good luck can "rub off" on you! A crystal frog or toad is a symbol of abundance and is often placed on a small pile of coins. This should also be placed in the money space to generate income. Unakite fosters realism and a sense of perspective along with a good-humored attitude toward work, making it a perfect talisman. A bloodstone dragon pendant, bracelet or ring can easily be incorporated into your daily life. Wearing amulets as jewelry has a long and venerable history and can be very attractive accessories. You could also consider crystals carved in the following forms: A fish (preferably carp) for riches, an elephant to boost intelligence and bring good fortune in exams, a gourd for long live, Fu dogs for protection and to promote valor and prosperity, a dragon for protection and all-around good luck, a cicada to transform bad luck into good luck, a horse for luck with lotteries. Finally, red and green serpentine (the more richly crazed with veins, the better) can act as a powerful talisman to help keep a sense of perspective in your life.
