Stimulate Your Eyes

Whether you would like to develop your ability to view auras, or just be more observant, here are some nice exercises for your eyes.  Do these simple exercises every day to increase your color awareness and peripheral vision.  (1)  Deep breathing - sit quietly and breathe in deeply and slowly through your nose.  Exhale through your mouth a little faster than the in-breath.  Feel the release of energy and any tension in your body.  Do this 3 or 4 times then breathe normally.  Do this exercise before each of the sight improvement exercises that follow.  (2)  Spiraling Shell -  look at the spiral in a nautilus shell (either an actual shell or clear photo of a shell).  Stare at the center of the spiral as if you were looking into a deep cave or well.  Slowly allow your eyes to work their way out of the spiral, following the shell every bit of the way until you reach the end of the shell.  At first you may find your eyes wanting to jump out of the middle and move too fast, so keep practicing a few times a day until you are able to follow the curve of the shell without cheating.  (3)  Seeing Dots - to develop better perception of light, shape and form, use this exercise daily.  On a piece of paper draw five black dots about 3/4 inch in diameter.  Put one dot in each corner and one in the middle of the paper.  (Like dots on a dice.)  Stare at one of the black dots, then move your eyes quickly to the dot diagonally opposite, then quickly back to the dot you started with.  Then move your eyes around all the dots using circular, diagonal or horizontal movements.  Then cover one eye and do the same exercise.  Repeat using the other eye.  (4)  Color Improvement - be observant as you stroll through a park, walk along the street or in your back yard.  Try to see the gradations within one color.  Separate different shades of green and see how many you can see or name.  Do the same with all the colors you see.  Repeat this exercise in the light of the moon.  (5)  Peripheral Vision - to increase your awareness of your peripheral vision, hold a finger out in front of you and stare at it for a minute or so.  As you focus on your finger, become aware of everything around it without actually focusing on anything but the finger.  Concentrate on your finger but know what else is in the room, gradually increasing your peripheral awareness by beginning to see out of the corners of your eyes as you look straight ahead.  Be aware of the things that are going on almost behind you.  Source:  Auras and How to Read Them by Sarah Bartlett.
