The T-Bar and Goals

How goal-oriented and driven are you?  You can begin to answer this question by studying the t's in your handwriting.  Graphologists call the line that crosses the t the "t-bar."  When analyzing the t-bar you should consider its length (average, short, long); angle (ascending or descending); shape (curly or looped); and placement (above th esteem or to the right or left of the stem.)  Here are some examples:  Average length of the t-bar indicates you have set reasonable goals.  If the t-bar is short in length, you may not be very driven or goal-oriented, but prefer to concentrate on the here and now rather than work for the future.  A long t-bar indicates that you are driven, determined and willing to work hard.  If the t-bar is ascending, you are looking forward to having an exciting future.  If the t-bar is descending, you tend to have an apprehension about the future.  A decorative, curly t-bar indicates you are imaginative, inventive, have a whimsical nature and worry little about what may come.   A looped or knot-like shape on your t-bar indicates a great drive and ambition.  You are motivated and focused.  If the t-bar is above the stem of the t, most likely you make plans for the future that are unrealistic and fantastical.  If your t-bar is to the left of the stem of the t and not touching it, you might have difficulty making decisions about the future.  You would rather not contemplate what goals you should be pursuing.  If the t-bar is to the right of the t and not touching it, you have a tendency to be over-excited by potential opportunities and to neglect making sound judgments and careful plans.  Most likely you act spontaneously.  Source:  Practical Guide to Handwriting Analysis by Kirsten Hall.
