Signs and Intuition
I often have a "hunch" about something but choose to ignore it - only to find my "hunch" turned into reality. Here's an exercise to develop your ability to better understand those subtle signs that pop out of nowhere. Signs are everywhere. If you are observant, you can receive them all the time. The most ordinary events can provide you with a message, an intuitive cue to keep you on course. You are the one filling up your world! The art of reading signs comes from extracting images in our environment that mirror our intuition. The messages really come from inside you. Be alert to signs, but don't let them control you - rather they are a guidepost, your inner voice appearing in the things around you. If your attention focuses on something you think is a sign but you do not know what it means, ask it be interpreted it for you. Close your eyes and wait for some inner clue, a voice, a picture, a sound. If you are still stuck, write something about it. Use a blank page in your journal and just start writing without any intent - just let your pen flow across the page without stopping. Do quick word associations by holding the image in your mind and write down every word that comes to mind. Then look at the words you have written and look for a pattern, or message that stands out.
