I've enjoyed viewing the photos of the red carpet shots for the Golden Globe Awards.  There certainly is a wide range in the choices that female celebrities make in selecting gowns and accessories.  Some seem to have excellent advisers that help put together a total package that emphasizes just the right features.  Others seem to have someone working very hard to make them appear totally out of touch with any sense of sophistication.  Of course being a movie star doesn't automatically anoint one to be an authority on everything, but gosh, one look in a full-length mirror should be a clue for even the "clue-less."  Us fiftyish divas certainly can appreciate that we need to change with the times but there are certain changes in supposed style trends that I will happily let whiz by.  But then, I don't really expect to be one of the mug shots for those red carpet photo shoots, so I guess I'm safe.
