Working When You're 50 +
When I turned 50 years old, I started to pay more attention to the age of my co-workers. I also noticed that changing jobs was a very different process for those under the age of 50 versus those of us past the milestone. Of course, no human resource person will admit to age discrimination. And many of us who have made a job change needed to make a personal adjustment in either our skill level, our attitude about a career path, or our expectation of suitable income. So the issue of age sits on both sides of the desk when it comes to staying in the world of work after we reach 50. Let's hear some of your thoughts about working with white hair.
