People have different motivations for their behavior and express varying traits, but everyone has access to the full range of human emotions. Emotions can ebb and flow like waves of the ocean reaching the shore. Strong emotions can be likened to an explosion of energy that propels one to take action in a specific situation. But one can also create a defensive behavior against expressing an emotion. Defensive behaviors can include ignoring, repressing, or stuffing the emotion by holding it in the body; creating physical or emotional pain. Each negative emotion has a corresponding positive emotion. For instance, the positive side of anger is laughter. The positive side of conflict is peace. The positive side of frustration is a sense of accomplishment . Core emotional issues have often been operational for a long period of time and have a significant disruptive energy associated with them. Examples of core issues include rejection, abandonment, anger and control.
To identify a core issue, one starts by observing one's pattern of reaction (or conditioned behavior) in a situation. For instance, a situation may generate conditioned behaviors that include yelling, storming out of a room, closing down emotionally to a person or situation, or leaving the situation altogether. When these behaviors surface, take note of the feelings associated with the behavior.
One can release buried emotions by using the writing process. A helpful first step is to express and release emotions concerning early interactions with parents or authority figures. Start by getting a large notebook and write about the person who created the greatest difficulty in your life. Write down everything you would have wanted to say but felt you could not. Note the feelings that rise as you write in the journal. If the writing becomes blocked, or you run out of something to write about, just ask "and," to start a new wave of thought. Expect the first entries to be of a negative emotional nature, but the writing will shift to an understanding of the point of view the other person had in the situation. This will be followed by a new-found compassion for the person. Then you will develop an understanding of lessons you learned from the situation. Continue writing about the positive emotions that come forth as long as you like. Most likely, you will find your relationship with this person will also change.

There are times when one's psychic energy gets depleted and needs a quick cleansing. Try the following exercises as quick ways to clear out negativity and rebalance the chakras.
Use a white light to clear the chakras:
1. In the mind's eye, see a large beam of bright, crystal-white light coming into the top of the head. Move the light down through the crown chakra, clearing out all darkness and dimness in the chakra.
2. Slowly move the light down through the third eye in the forehead between the two physical eyes, down to the ear chakras at each side of the head, clearing out all darkness and dimness in the chakras.
3. Move the bright, crystal-white light down through the throat chakra, down to the heart chakra, to the solar plexus chakra behind the navel, clearing out all darkness and dimness in the chakras.
4. Continue moving the bright, crystal-white light down through the sacral chakra a few inches below the navel, then down through the root chakra at the base of the spine.
5. In the mind's eye, see all the chakras become illuminated, perfectly balanced in size, and gleaming brightly.
Create Gleaming Glass Globes
Visualize eight brilliant glass globes stacked from top to bottom with the following colors:
See the glass globes become larger, brighter, transparently illuminated with glowing light. Make the colors as vibrant as possible, with no spots or shadows on the glass. Let the perfectly balanced globes spin freely in a beautiful multi-colored column of light that fills the entire body.
Use Psychic Vacuum to Remove Negative Energy
In the mind's eye see a giant vacuum tube coming from beautiful white clouds above the head. Set the vacuum speed on low, medium, high or extra-high and bring the tube down through the crown chakra. Direct the vacuum to suction darkness out of the physical and light body.
Follow the cleansing by surrounding the body with a bright, crystal-white light that comes down through the crown chakra and fills the entire body, bringing its healing energy that glows within and around the entire body.

We learn to control our bladders, bowels, and muscles at an early age; but often we go through life without a sense of mastery over our emotions. Excessive expression of emotions can create havoc in our lives. For instance, a healthy measure of fear may keep us free from harm; but if we give too much energy to fear, we can become paralyzed and unable to react appropriately to a situation. The following exercise may help develop your ability to maintain a neutral emotional state.
This exercise can be practiced in either a sitting or standing position. It is helpful to record the instructions so you will be able to focus on the activity. Select a time and place where you will not be disturbed.
1. Relax and get comfortable.
2. Become aware of your breathing.
3. Imagine there is a little "you" at the top of your head.
4. Move your consciousness to the little "you."
5. Slowly descend the little "you" into your head, see the image floating down through clouds, you might even see lightning and thunder as it moves through your head.
6. Imagine a ray of sunlight coming through the clouds as you continue to move the little "you" down through the body.
7. As the little "you" reaches the throat and neck area, imagine floating through blue sky, then slowly gliding lower through the shoulder and chest area.
8. At the level of the stomach, the little "you" lands on the ground, feeling a sense of softness and warmth. The fresh green aromatic scent of herbs relaxes you.
9. Continue the little "you" down below the level of your navel, where you find a beautiful, quiet lake with a little boat at a dock. The little "you" gets in the boat, sits down and sails off onto the still waters.
10. Look down into the clear water and see water lilies floating with their beautiful petals open against the surface of the water. Keep your attention focused on the beautiful water lilies.
11. Rest inside your internal world and observe your breath.
12. Feel the breath coming through the top of your head, inhale air from the higher levels of consciousness; air that is free from the energy of other people. Imagine a pillar of light on top of your head and your breath is coming down through this pillar. Coming down from the high levels of the atmosphere.
13. Absorb the breath and light coming from the pillar and exhale the light inside your body. Allow the little "you" sitting in the boat on the peaceful lake of your inner world to take this beautiful light and fresh breath as a precious gift.
Practice this exercise on a regular basis so that you will be able to easily reach the neutral state whenever you choose. The neutral state allows you to protect yourself, rejuvenate yourself and also deflect any psychological pressure you may feel from others.

The chakras are believed to be the body's primary mediators of electromagnetic energy within the body. The chakras connect to the functions of the physical body primarily through the endocrine glands and the spinal system. It is believed that vibrations can be absorbed or projected through the chakras. The vibration can then be transmitted into the vertebrae of the spine, then transferred along nerve pathways and the circulatory system to the organs and tissues to which they are believed to be linked. Imbalance within the energy system of the chakras can manifest as physical symptoms of disease or dysfunction of one's spiritual, mental or emotional expression. It is believed that restoring balance to the chakra energy system can be accomplished through the use of vibration created by sound, color, fragrance, touch, crystals or flower elixirs. Following is a brief summary of ways to balance chakra energies:
The Base Chakra can be balanced using the tone of middle C, bass-toned and percussion instruments, the long U-vowel sound, the color red, smoky quartz crystal, sandalwood and wisteria fragrances.
The Spleen Chakra can be balanced using the tone of D above middle C, bass-toned, percussion, brass, and woodwind instruments, the long O-vowel sound, the color orange, carnelian or agate crystals, patchouli and gardenia fragrances.
The Solar Plexus Chakra can be balanced using the tone of E above middle C, flutes, woodwinds, strings, and piano instruments, the vowel sound of "awh", the color yellow, citrine and topaz crystals, rosemary fragrance.
The Heart Chakra can be balanced using the tone of F above middle C, harps, organs, flutes, wind chimes, and all string instruments, the long A-vowel sound, the colors green or pink, rose quartz or tourmaline crystals, rose fragrance.
The Throat Chakra can be balanced using the tone of G above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, and high string instruments, short vowels (e, i, a, u), the color blue, turquoise stone, bayberry or wisteria fragrances.
The Brow Chakra can be balanced using the tone of A above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, wind chimes, and high string instruments, the long-E vowel sound, the color indigo, Lapis lazuli or fluorite crystals, eucalyptus fragrance.
The Crown Chakra can be balanced using the tone of B above middle C, harps, organs, pianos, wind chimes, high string instruments, the long-E vowel sound, the color violet, amethyst crystal, frankincense or lilac fragrances.

Bringing about change in our lives can be a daunting task. Often change can be catastrophic. For instance, the aftermath of an accident or a natural disaster can force change upon us. Other times, change may have a more subtle beginning. We begin to mention or complain about a situation in our lives. Or someone with a different viewpoint enters our life and we can see alternative ways to think about or handle a situation. However, we often resist making a change and we might even feel a bit angry about having to change some aspect of ourselves or our view of the world. But change begins the moment we start to think about making a change. Our life lessons are wrapped up in the things we find so difficult to do and change offers one an opportunity to develop a new perspective and way of relating to the world. To bring about change, it is believed that one must become aware of his resistance to change, then move forward by working through the resistance. Resistance can be recognized in a number of behaviors. For instance, changing the subject, refusing to pay attention, or leaving the room during a discussion can be an indication of resistance. Being late for an appointment or getting sick and missing it altogether are other indications of resistance. Wasting time and doing busywork, or anything other than the one thing we should do resists the change process. For instance, if one's job requires making calls to customers and prospects, a resistance behavior would be clearing out one's desk and shuffling papers as an excuse for not making the calls. Eating, drinking or smoking can also be signs of resistance. For instance, if one feels vulnerable in relationships, he may put on extra weight as a way to insulate himself from feeling attractive. Resistance can also be demonstrated in some of the assumptions one makes. Saying it wouldn't do any good to change, or others won't understand can be signs of resistance; as can assuming the issue will work itself out. Beliefs can also give rise to resistance to change. For instance, thinking it's not right for one to do the different behavior, or it's just too much work, expensive, or will take too long to accomplish can be indications of resistance. One can use excuses as resistance to change by giving one's power to others. Examples include God would not approve, they won't let me change, one doesn't have the right environment or things needed to bring about change. It's the fault of someone else, or as soon as one gets ......(some condition)....then one will change. One's ideas about oneself can also create resistance to change. One may think he is too old, too fat, too lazy, too dumb, too worthless, too stuck to change. One may also use delaying tactics as a form of resistance to change. Examples include saying one will do it later, doesn't have the time right now, has too many other things to do, or it's too late or too soon to make a change. Denial can also have a part in resistance to change. Examples of denial include thinking nothing can be done about the issue, there will be no good result from changing, or if the issue is ignored, perhaps it will go away. Fear can also play a role in resistance to change. Fear can be expressed by thinking one might be rejected, one is not yet ready to make any changes, it might cost money to make a change, one is afraid to express his feelings, it's too hard to do, it won't be perfect, or one is not good enough for the desired change.

Successful people turn desires into specific goals and then use the power of their minds to achieve those goals. Often, unsuccessful people merely turn their desires into wishes. One can increase the probability of reaching a specific goal by learning to communicate effectively with the higher mind, exactly what the mind is expected to achieve. It is believed that one creates his fate by whatever he does and does not do with his psychic mind. If the mind is programmed with junk, one will have a junky life. If one just allows others to influence one's mind, then he will become a puppet dancing to the tune of other people. To choose success, direction to one's life and happiness, try the Psychic Goal Bowl exercise.
(1)Take a blank sheet of 8.5 by 11 inch paper.
(2) At the top of the sheet write "From the Infinite Source" and just below that statement write "With Harm to No One." Below that statement write your name and the date you created the goal bowl.
(3)Then draw the largest circle possible on the rest of the paper.
(4) Divide the circle into 8 pie-shaped sections. (Draw a line down the center, turn the paper 90 degrees and draw another line down the center, you will now have four sections. Draw a line down the middle of each of the sections and you will have 8 pie-shaped sections.)
(5) If you are able to find a picture illustrating your goal, put it in one section. If not, write a description of your goal, being as accurate and detailed as possible.
(6) Re-read the goal and fix it in your mind.
(7) Close your eyes and visualize your goal.
(8) Say your goal out loud and listen to your voice.
Open your eyes and fill in the next section, repeating steps 5 through 8 for each of the sections until the circle is complete or you have filled in as many goals as you want, then re-read the entire bowl out loud, starting with the title, date, harm to no one, infinite source and each goal. Pause briefly at each goal before proceeding to the next one. After you have reviewed the entire goal bowl, close your eyes and say "The goals in my goal bowl are what I want, and I direct my higher mind to make these goals become reality." Put the goal bowl in a safe place.
Review your goal bowl at least once each day for 30 days (you can review the goal bowl as often as you wish, but be sure in the first 30 days to review it at least once a day.) After the first 30 days, be sure to review your goal bowl at least once a month for 12 months. After the first year, be sure to review your goal bowl at least twice a year. The more often you review your goal bowl, the more powerfully you will reinforce the programming of your higher mind.
When you have achieved a goal, write "Thank You" and any comments you would like to add, as well as the date the goal was accomplished. If you change your mind about a goal, just write "Cancel" across the section of the goal bowl, the date and why you are cancelling the goal. If you want to change a goal slightly, just write the adjustment on the goal and impress it in your mind as you did the original goal.

Shoes can become old friends that we tend to ignore because they perform so their function so well. They make it possible to walk hundreds of miles in comfort. But shoes have a story to tell about our life if we take a few moments to examine them. Shoes become worn out in areas that we put most of our weight; for instance, the outside, inside, toe tip or heel of the shoe's sole. If the tip of the toe is worn, it could be an indication that the person is always in a hurry, that he is somewhat impatient and always hungry. Worn down heels can indicate the person consumes large amounts of liquids, has lower back aches or possibly a problem with the kidneys. This person may also feel sluggish and become easily fatigued as well as feel somewhat hesitant about the future. If the inside of the sole (the big toe side of the foot) is worn, there may be a problem with the intestines, sex organs or neck and shoulder pain. The liver and spleen may be overtaxed. This person may be knock-kneed and may feel somewhat timid, frustrated and experience confusion when confronted with important decisions. If the outside of the sole is worn (the little toe side of the foot), there may be problems with the gallbladder or liver. The person may be bow-legged, overweight and experience shoulder pain. He may like spicy, sensual foods but be an indiscriminant eater. This person may experience anger, fear and hostility but have a practical nature. He may have difficulty making decisions. When the big toe area of the shoe is more worn than the rest of the sole, this person's most likely driven, goal-oriented and a workaholic. This person may experience anger easily but is trying to control it. Generally, shoes are also an indicator of economic status, as people tend to buy shoes they feel they can afford. Clean shoes indicate the person cares about details, while moderately well cared for shoes indicate one is somewhat relaxed about his image. Ill-kept shoes tend to indicate a person has a high degree of chaos in his life. If the shoes smell from a strong, pungent odor, the person may be eating too many animal foods and dairy products. The person may be overweight and have high blood pressure. If the shoes smell sweet, the person may be consuming too many sweets and possibly have hypoglycemia or diabetes. If the shoes smell salty, the kidneys may be overworked; while a pungent smell may indicate an imbalance in the large intestine. If the shoes appear to bulge or stretch on the sides, most likely the person stands for many hours and the foot has widened and flattened out.

There are times when we feel emotionally vulnerable but a little psychic energy can be used to create a more peaceful and harmonious sense of being. Here's an exercise to create an astral or emotional shield:
Note: It is important to make the shield internally permeable so any negative emotions, thoughts and toxins you generate are released from the shield while protecting you from external contamination.

We often spend a great deal of time, effort and money getting to know someone; only to discover that they have needs or desires that are incompatible with our frame of reference. However, you can effectively recognize compatible traits and invite those people into your life who have a greater possibility of forming a quality relationship with you. By taking a few moments to notice the person's handwriting you will observe very small neuro-muscular movements that are shared by people with particular personality traits. Following is a brief summary of some of these traits.
Note: If the person tends to print rather than write a cursive script, they tend to put up barriers so others cannot easily see who they really are, but you can still interpret the individual strokes. Source: Instant People Reading Through Handwriting by Anne Conway.
